Hello

As I type an email, the cursor suddenly jumps back to the beginning of the message where it continues the typing. I then have to move the cursor to the correct place but it keeps on happening every time I type an email.

Why does it happen and what's the solution?

Re: Email

Well we all suffer this BT car crash of a web mail system, has been like it for a long time , too long , seems it wont or cannot be fixed. You will probably be advised to move to an email client. If you use email a lot probably best thing as BT a leader in digital communications .. is ( add your own adjective)

Re: Email

BT are aware of the problem and fix was promised months ago but as yet the hopeless email team who implement the 'new' interface have not managed to roll out any fix and I doubt they ever will.

You could pester the BT CEO and make her or at least her deflector staff aware that the paying customers are still waiting for the promised fix but again I doubt that will do much but you never know.

Meanwhile you might find that if you start your email three or four lines down from the top of the page it doesn't happen.

Re: Email

I had this problem last year then it went away.

Now it's back.

When BT email was delivered by Yahoo, I never had ANY issues but oh no, BT wanted to keep hold of what they were paying Yahoo & went 'in house'.

Perhaps they should have spent somewhat more in employing competent programmers, rather than the bunch of deranged monkeys they brought in on minimum wage - which IMO is an overpayment for their 'skills'.

BT YOUR EMAIL SERVICE IS UTTER RUBBISH.

Re: Email

As I keep posting, the email SERVICE is not rubbish, it is the web user interface that is absolutely dire, which is not necessary to use. If you use a third party free mail client such as Thunderbird, all the problems disappear.

Re: Email

Nope, you're wrong. BT is supposed to supply a full service, NOT one requiring extra steps, especially those making email less secure.

Re: Email

BT aren't obliged to provide anything, it's a freebie add on service

A mail client is a more secure method of dealing with email than a web browser.

Re: Email

Nonsense. If a mail client is the best option, then BT should supply one.

Hopefully EE will be better than the sub par nonsense we've had ever since they decided it was cheaper to ditch Yahoo.
