I have been unable to send emails since yesterday. The following error appears when I click send "Too many messages (2.3.6.3)"
Does anyone know how I can go about resolving this problem?

This exact same error started with me yesterday.
I get the same error no matter what method I try to send email (Outlook, WebMail, Phone App).

I was sending a single email to a single recipient. Have just tried again and it comes up with the same error.

@sspt41877 & @Abertay is this only happening when connected to the one broadband connection? I wonder if there is a problem with your IP address being on a block list.

I've tried using mobile data and the wifi at work and I still cannot send any of my emails, unfortunately.

This is happening on different devices and different networks, so not IP-address specific. The logon works and emails are getting received but sending always fails with the "Too many messages (2.3.6.3)" error.
Thinking it was something to do with the number of messages in the Sent and Inbox folders, I purged these but that made no difference.

Are you current BT Broadband customers or are you paying for your email via a BT Premium email account?
How are you accessing your email, is it with a web browser (webmail) or is it with an email client or email app?
Are you using a VPN? If you are have you tried turning it off?
Hi @gg30340 , I am a BT Broadband customer. The same problem happens with web mail, Microsoft Outlook and the the BT EMail iPhone app. I am not using a VPN.

I currently pay to have my BT Premium account email.
I have used all the options mentioned to try and send my emails but without success.
I have also tried sending emails, with and without the VPN activated, again without success.
I didn't have any issue with sending emails last week and haven't changed my hardware, any settings etc...
