Thanks for the replies. They rule out the usual things thatcan cause sending issues.
Assuming there are no emails stuck in your sent folder on any of your devices and you are still having the problem it will nèed further investigation by the email team which the moderator @NeilO should be able to arrange.

I think I may have resolved the issue.
On my laptop I was using Microsoft Outlook and when I tried to look into the Outbox, it was "Not available".
I deleted the Outlook application from my laptop, and now I can send from my other devices, including WebMail and the BT Mail iPhone app!

Update - the issue is not resolved.
I tried another email client on my laptop (Thunderbird), and it has the same error.
But my Webmail and BT Mail iPhone app still work since Outlook was deleted.
Looks like an issue with external email clients.

I too have a client with this problem since Monday. Intermittently can send and is currently OK via the web portal but not with Thunderbird.
Good morning, I am also experiencing 'too many messages' 2.3.6.2 whenever I try to send email, from either of my computers or Apple devices.
I am currently in France and neither my Windows based PC or Apple devices will send email.
I also have a desktop PC in the UK which is also currently not sending email.
I have tried sending email from the BT web mailbox and also receive too many messages.
Can you advise on next steps please?

Hi, since about a week ago I have also been unable to send emails from my BT email account. I am still able to receive new messages but cannot send. If I try to use the webmail, when I send messages I get the same 'too many messages' error message. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
