total disaster 6 years of important emails deleted. can anyone help...?

All my inbox emails for the last 6 years have been deleted.  these were important emails. No idea how or why?  Im distraught cant see how to restore.  Please can anyone help? thx

Hi, @FSboathouse welcome to the community and thanks for posting, I can appreciate how worrying this must be for you. How do you normally access your emails?

Have you checked on all the devices you use and also if they're on webmail by logging into the BT mail site? 

If the emails have been deleted from the BT server by an email client I'm afraid there is no way to recover them.

I use both the bt mail app on my phone and also a general mail app on my computer

yes ive checked on the bt site on my computer and they have gone from there too sadly.

@FSboathouse have you checked the deleted folder on your computer email app to see they're in there?

We can't recover them if they've been deleted but we can ask the email team to check the server logs to find out where the request has come from. I'll send you a private message so you can get in touch with the moderation team.
