Hi,
I have an EE mobile contract and a BT Digital Voice landline. I have call divert from my landline to my EE mobile. What I want to confirm that this service is free. In other words, there is no charge to divert calls from my landline to me EE mobile. If answering, please do not quote the FAQs as I have read them. I am looking for a straightforward answer to a very straightforward question. Thank you.
To be a little pedantic, your question is flawed, the call divert service on DV is free on DV , ( no monthly fee for having it ) but if diverting incoming calls to the DV line to a non BT line or mobile , the diverted portion of the call may not be free , it would be chargeable if that call were not part of a calling plan , so if on 500 / 700 mins or unlimited minutes plan on the DV line , it should be included ( provided on the 500/700 you haven’t exceeded the total ) , on PAYG it’s a chargeable call , as it would be if you called directly from your DV line .
Sorry to be pedantic, but you have not told me something I did not know. The question I ask is do I incur any charges when a call to my DV landline is diverted to my EE mobile?
You are not being pedantic
OK , What is your DV call plan ?, if you are on PAYG you pay for the diverted call , if on 500/700 or unlimited minutes then it should be included in the call plan , your question though is vague,
What I want to confirm that this service is free
The call divert service is free , the diverted call may not be free.
My understanding is that it is only totally free if you divert from your Digital Voice line to a BT mobile or landline.
So you would incur a charge for the call if diverted to EE mobile. (This is why I have stuck with BT mobile!)

Yeah, that’s all well and good but BT Mobile as a stand alone CSP no longer exists as all new contracts are with EE. This is a consequence of the BT and EE merger. So, my question is should I simply expect EE to be the same as my former BT Mobile contract and have the same benefits?
Hi, I have been trying to get the same information. I have read on BT site that its free to divert DV to a BT Mobile but now that BT and EE have merged and I changed from a BT mobile to an EE. No one can confirm its free to EE. Unless I have missed something
Hi, I eventually just took the plunge and diverted my BT landline to my EE mobile and kept any eye on my call charges for the first few Week to see if I was being charged for any calls diverted. There have been no call divert charges on my bill so have left the divert on. I hope this offers you some reassurance but you would likely wish to check your call charges at the start as I did.
