Can I use a regular analogue phone with Digital Voice phone line?
I would like a landline that I can use in emergencies. Is it possible to do it with Digital Voice?
Solved! Go to Solution.
@Calypso Yes you cam plug you existing phone into the phone socket at the rear of your home hub (probably covered by a sticker)
after moving to digital voice if you get a power cut then your hub will not work and therefore neither will your DV phone. you would need to get a UPS so you can keep hub connected to internet and DV phone working
What is a UPS?
@Calypsowrote:What is a UPS?
Uninterruptible Power Supply.
If you have FTTP then you'll need to keep both the SH2 & ONT live to make alls.
Thanks for all your advise guys.
I think I have now sorted my wi fi and Tv now. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to keep my normal phone line, if I wanted broadband, as they’re getting rid of all normal analog telephone wires and they’ll be obsolete in 2025. So I have to go with the Digital Voice. 🥺
Very confusing.

It's the phone system that's being phased out. The wires will hang around for some time even if the 2025 target is met.
