Will phone lines become obsolete once Digital Voice is fully implemented? I only ask because my trees are growing into my neighbours' phone lines and I don't want to have to pay a tree surgeon.

@mikegabb No the same lines will be used to provide the broadband service over which digital voice is carried.
If full fibre becomes or is available and only if customers upgrade to this an new fibre line is provided, this will normally be from the same pole.

Re: Digital Voice and phone lines
Thanks - rather obvious really but I have never been able to get used to the idea that all this high tech stuff is still flowing through the same ancient wires!
