I have just renewed my broadband package. When placing the order I was asked a number of questions , including one which asked whether I would be keeping my existing phone or if I needed a new one. I was puzzled why I was asked, and answered that I would keep the existing handsets. It was not until I received the confirmation email that I discovered I was about to be issued Digital Voice. On reading here about it, I gather that I could have been issued with new handsets free of charge. New handsets would be good - our old ones are getting on a bit! Is there a way to request them separately? Would it be better anyway?

I'm not the handsets are free any more. You can call customer services and ask.
DV handsets link to the built in DECT base station in the hub. your old base station simply plugs into the socket in the hub rather than your master socket.
Thanks @licquorice - I guess I'll stick with my old handsets for now!
