Hi, BT are switching me to digital voice on Friday but I still haven't received my free digital handset. Is this normal? Without a handset I will be phoneless.
You can use your existing handset but plug into the green phone port on the back.
You'll need to order the free handset if you haven't done so already. http://bt.com/DVequipment
Deleted.
I get number not eligible even though BT contacted me to offer the upgrade and the website says 'just plug in your new home phone (that we’ll send you for free) and you're ready to go.
Sometimes it takes a while for the check on https://www.bt.com/DVequipment to update. You can also get it by texting the word HANDSET to 61998. Or calling CS up too if having issues.

In the meantime, once your Digital Voice service is enabled, you can just plug your existing phone into the green phone port on the back of the Smart Hub 2.
My offers offered me a new package, slightly cheaper with new features full fibre guarantee and digital voice. I am libe chatting with BT who say the new features will be at some point in the future even though they were included in the offer 😞
What do we do if the router is in a cupboard and the phone is in another room? You say just plug your phone into the green phone socket on the Smart hub 2 - but we would need a long cable to do that!
That is what the BT Digital Voice Adapter is for.

You can ask for one free, instead of a BT phone.
Ask where? we have been online chat with BT for 30 minutes who are trying to "upgrade" us - they do not seem to understand about Digital Voice and "free" equipment
