Elderly parents landline

Hi

ive arranged a landline for my vulnerable elderly parents which I was told would be put in today (they have no phone after moving house). I looked at the information I’ve been sent by BT who are now giving installation date of 25/4 and installation by customer.
That’s 2 weeks later than the date I was given and my parents are 88 and 86 and there’s no way they can do any installation? I’m hoping that’s not what it means as I’ve spent ages corresponding with BT and explaining they will need assistance and need the phone.

if anyone can put my mind at rest I’d be grateful as it’s almost impossible to get through to customer services on their behalf.
