Essential phone types

I shall be transferred to Digital Voice “soon”.

I have just received 2 x Digital Voice Essential phones which arrived in the same parcel, One is detailed as “Essential Digital home phone (Type A)” item code 090709 and the second phone is detailed as “Essential Digital Home Phone with HD calling (Type B) item code 090257. Very odd!

Any ideas why the difference?

📢BT's Digital Voice service is BT Consumer's VoIP/Internet based fixed line voice service and is the replacement service to your current voice service you have today as the analogue PSTN phone network is closing by 2025. Between 2021 and 2025 those with a voice service from BT will be migrated onto the Digital Voice Service.

Usually to reduce the risk of being dependent on one suppler by using different manufactures . Same with the hubs
