HD Voice - what standard/specs is it?

What standard is HD Voice and what are the specs ?

Is HD Voice also applied to the SH2 phone socket?

Hi @Digitalsafari Welcome back to the community and thanks for posting. That's a good question, I'll ask the Digital voice team for the specs and will get back to you when I know more.

As far as I'm aware the calls will only be in HD voice if you use the Digital Voice handsets.

Hi @Digitalsafari  I got a bit more info from the digital voice team which I hope answers your questions.

HD Voice is supported on Digital Voice based on the G722 codec and Cat-iq dect standard. It should be noted that both ends of a call must support a level of HD voice for the facility to be invoked.

The Hub Phone socket is a POTS (Plain old Telephone service) interface so does not support  HD Voice.

You would hope so as BT/EE plan to use the same core network for digital voice and mobiles which both use G722.
