Is this a typo as it implies you're talking about an issue with a mobile? Otherwise you would have rung the mobile from the landline to test.
Just checking, as the moderators could not help with a business line.
If you are in a remote area, the chances are that your line comes from a small exchange, which its possible that BT want to offload.
Assuming you have a BT Broadband connection, then what @licquorice has suggested, may eventually be the way forward, as that is all software controlled which makes it easier to manage.
I tried ringing mobile from landline but it still says withheld number.
Yes it’s a very remote area. I’m looking at Digital voice now.
