Bt Mini Connectors

Go to solution

I am trying to make sense of the devices connected to my router. Most have now been identified but some remain a mystery. I have a couple of Bt Mini Connectors (power line adapters) connected and wonder if these are transparent to the router or whether they do show up as connected devices? If the latter, how do I find their MAC address so I can match back to the info in the router?

@ColGrant

Welcome to this user forum for BT Residential phone and broadband customers.

I would not rely too much on the connection information showing on the BT home hub. It often does not see connected devices. I think you can log into the mini connectors, and view the hardware information, which should show their MAC addresses.

Many BT device use the address http://mybtdevice.home, so you could try that.

Otherwise just turn them off, and see which devices no longer list on the home hub network map.

Thank you - why did I not think of turning them off!
