We have BT broadband, with a Smart Hub 2. On Wednesday we lost Internet function for some of our devices (Android phones and laptop) but not for others (Hive, Fire stick and Fire tablet). On the devices without internet the status of the wifi was "Connected, no internet". After an hour or so, we restarted the router by turning the power off and on, and internet connection was restored immediately.
All was ok for 2 days until this evening (Friday), when exactly the same happened, and the same devices lost internet connection, but still showed as connected. Both times there has been no obvious cause.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what is happening, and what we should do, eg do a factory reset? Could this mean that the Smart Hub is defective and needs replacing?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Factory reset the hub and turn off MAC randomisation on your devices.
