New hub

Connected my new bt hub earlier,  followed the instructions to the letter, says connected but no internet, and the hub is constantly flashing red/pink. Triple checked all connections etc....still nothing.

Contacted bt who did tests to no avail. Now waiting for an engineer to come next tuesday.

Tried to reconect my old hub, but now that doesn't work....same problem with constant red light...Done factory resets, but still won't connect.....whotta complete shambeles this changeover is proving tp be. Thankfully my phone allows me internet access to the internet to post this!

Re: New hub

What are you upgrading to?

If you were on Part-Fibre (FTTC/VDSL) and have upgraded to Full-Fibre (FTTP) you need to connect the hub to the ONT via yellow LAN port 4, not the old DSL port.

Re: New hub

so what connection do you have - adsl/vdsl just copper or FTTC (fibre to cab and copper to home) or FTTP (fibre to home)?

why did BT send you a new hub? SH2?

Re: New hub

So, is this the upgrade to Digital Voice (DV) then?

If so, the hub connections should be the same as your old hub with the exception that the phone now plugs into a socket on the back of the hub.  They should send you a text to say when the change has gone through.  If you then reboot the hub it should pick up the new settings and show your phone number of the management page of the hub.
