Hello, i have searched high and low for an answer to this, none of the prvious posts seem to cover my issues.
i recently replaced my modem/router with an Asus DSL-ax82u, i already use an after market router a tp link device. i have replicated the settings on the new asus modem and it seems to be connected but i still dont have internet acess for some reason.
i can comfirm its nothing silly like WIFI or anything this is all fine. it seems to be some advanced setting i dont understand perhaps.
just to make it clear its not a g.fast line or vdsl, its an old copper line type connection.
i have included screenshots from the old modem that i can comfirm is working and the new asus device config screen.
any help resolving this issue would be much appriciated.

user should be bthomehub@btbroadband.com
and any password
I have tried this already, and also this username and password appears to work on the old modem just fine.
already elminated this as a potential issue, i set it the same as the old one as i knew that this was working.
What are the other options on the WAN type dropdown and Service category dropdown?
ADSL and VDSL
also i have tried both, annoyingly the connection seems to be up but no internet acess?
How are you setting up the router, via Wifi or Ethernet?
Are your devices getting their IP addresses ok from it? Maybe double check its LAN/DHCP settings too?
Im logged inot the router VIA WIFI
i shall have a check but i do believe all this is ok ....
Maybe test a device via Ethernet instead, to see if it gets an internet connection?
I have tried a ping directly from the new device that confirms no connection 😩
You are definitely getting DSL connectivity from the stats so the problem lies with the higher layers.
What are the other options for service category?
