Hi
We live in an isolated area but there is a camping bod nearby which does not have internet. Hikers and campers keep knocking on our door and asking to use our Internet. It is becoming a nuisance ad seems rude and unfriendly to say no. Is therexanyway we can make our WiFi invisible to outsiders. What happens is they look on their phones for avaiable networks in the area and ours pops up as we are the only house for miles. Then they knock on our door and ask to access our network briefly. It is becoming a nuisance. Any help appreciated.

Unfortunately not. You could rename it as 'not available to public' and hope it had the desired effect
Or use a third party router with the ability to hide the SSID
Thanks for the renaming tip. Hope it works.
Sorry I am not tech savvy...how do you get a 3rd party router and do what you said.
Just buy one from Amazon
What broadband service do you have, you need the appropriate device to match your service.
Not sure if it will work, but you could try renaming the SSID to a number of 'space' characters which wouldn't be visible
Ok, thanks. Will try that.

If that is a reply to my question regarding service, we need to know the type of service.
Copper ADSL, FTTC (Fibre to the cabinet) VDSL, or FTTP full fibre.
