I would like to put a wifi extender in my room because the wifi signal from the HUB is not very strong.
but the last time I did this the neighbours got onto our wifi extender and hacked my devices.
How can I password protect the wifi extender and make sure this doesn't happen again?
is the hubs password enough? from what I been told elsewhere WPS button is not a good idea and WPS should be turned off.
Hi @omar72.
Thanks for coming to the community.
I understand you want to make sure your network is secure.
The security options can vary depending on the make and model of your Wi‑Fi extender, so I'd recommend checking the manufacturer's guidance on how to protect both your device and network. If supported, disabling WPS and using a strong, unique Wi-Fi password can also help keep your network secure.
