@moscabjust wait it out, the staff are still being trained and to be fair, it’s not really an upgrade. It’s more expensive and you lose the benefits such as “free upgrade to full fibre when available” which bt offer

Unless you’re already on FTTP 500 or above with BT and then the router is a massive upgrade from BT’s Hub.

Amen to that, I do want the upgraded router to be fair!

I’m waiting for it all to stabilise and then I can call up!

BT have updated MyBT

Now linked to:

https://www.bt.com/ee

I now get told to call BT and discuss the upgrade

Looks like they'll be starting to move people over soon, so fingers crossed they can work out a deal..

Edit: It does say log in to see your EXCLUSIVE upgrade deal - (they're framing it as a upgrade I see) - So makes me think that when the deals are ready - they'll be pushed to us on My BT rather than the call centre.

I’m on FTTP 900 and I feel I deserve a router that meets this setup

@moscabwhy not buy a WiFi 6 or 6e router. Will probably have as good if not better specs than any ISP provided router.

Plenty of good WiFi 6 routers for around the £100 mark.

The new EE router is excellent.

@jas20001978 the thing is EE router has better spec than the BT one.
If I'm allowed an upgrade FOC I would go down that route sparing me £100

It's the fact the new router comes with WiFi 6 which is appealing, I can enjoy closer to the speeds I pay for via WiFi as well as ethernet then.
I'd buy a third party router, but then my DV would no longer work!
