@Anonymous
just use your address in the dslchecker as that will give you a result. I have the same problem being broadband only
https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL
I have, it isn’t accurate, states I should be hitting over 60Mbps download.
It also doesn’t show observed speed which the normal checker does.
I have a few more questions…
Why is my observed speed different from the speed shown on Hub Manager?
The max download speeds appear to be the same 61 but the upload speeds are notably different – 19 vs 13.
When I test the speed using the BT APP I only get 51Mb Download 9.3 Mb Upload Speed to Hub - should I not expect to see 55 / 10 Mb speed to hub?
(Test was done using an iPad next to the router)
My maximum data rate according to smart-hub would be 13/61 if I upgrade to Fibre 2 is there any scenario where the max. speed could increase? Is it just the physical distance from the Exchange that impacts the speed and this is permanent, there is no scenario where this is improved?
Ethernet has a 6% overhead so I would expect your actual data throughput to be 6% lower than the maximum shown line rate. 94% of 55Mb is around 51Mb so your measured speeds look right to me.
Latest update on me relating to this, the mods helped me get on the right profile and for the last month I have enjoyed the following:
Yesterday I ordered BT TV again to get the £10 BT Sport deal currently on offer (I know, I change my mind A LOT!), which also meant I re-contracted my broadband and of course I have woken up to 55/10 again:
I have already reached out to @JohnC2 via PM to see if he can wave his magic wand again, but there is clearly some sort of parameter or setting in the background in BT systems that really wants me on a 55/10 profile no matter what product I actually pay for or my line is capable of! 🤣
Will do, thanks @JohnC2
