Internet went down at 4.45pm each day engineer said router was faulty and replaced it. New router did the same today after Install can I stop this happening or change time to when I am not working like over night to reboot.
Dropping connection about the same time every day is more likely to be something electrical in your own home causing interference something switching on or off possibly central heating boiler
Have had new boiler but that comes on at 4pm not 4.45pm
Maybe just coincidence but central heating boiler sounds could be cause as it cuts in and out
I am no expert but if it was the boiler for instance would that just interfere with signal rather than make the router go through a reboot procedure? I thought this would more likely be firmware related ????
Could be a thermostat arcing which introduces interference.
Can you easily adjust the boiler to come on at say 5 or 6pm - if is is caused by the boiler (or related) than your reboots should also move 45mins later. If it makes no difference then you need to look for another cause.
Alternatively turn boiler off for a day and see if drops in connection stop
Brave person to do that at this time of year, could really upset the rest of the family...😁
Hi @Perki1973 and welcome to our community.
Thanks for posting about the drops. The guys have posted great advice here. It does sound like some sort of electrical interference. Take a look at https://kitz.co.uk/adsl/rein.htm for help with this type of problem. Let us know how you get on.
Cheers
