Just ben sent a one time pin number?

Go to solution

Hi, I have put this here, as, like it appears some other people, I had a few days where I had problems logging in to MyBt to look at my bill.

Well just had a one time pin number sent to my phone which I had not asked for. I logged into my account in case there was a problem, not via the text of course, but on my PC, logging directly in, and all was well. So just thought I would check here. Due to the recent problems with logging in, I would not prefer to change anything at this time, as it is working OK, and the pin came to my phone. Has this happened to others?

It may have been the part  of a scam. Although it is usually preceded by a telephone call then a text with the PIN.

Yes I thought that may have been the case. There was nothing with it, just supposed to be from BT. I think the fact, as with the bank, a confirmation like this this makes it all pretty fool proof as long as you do not do anything daft. First time it has happened to me, thanks for the input.
