Based on my experience, that might be a good idea.

The negotiations seem easy, the implementation seems impossible.

Or you could ring before the price rises come into effect and ask them to confirm by email that they won't apply to you ?

  • Update to all concerned. I have now gone ahead and renewed my BT contract, adding Complete WiFi. My confirmation email states that no increase will be applied to the quoted new price from 31st March for BT Broadband. However, there will be a slight increase in my telephone calling plan (pennies only) so not an issue! Satisfied with that. Thanks to all for your input and good luck to rpshaywood.

I think my problems are finally sorted.

I phoned the Options Team and found someone who was willing to thoroughly investigate the issues.

I've now renewed in line with the original deal.

The man  I spoke to even gave me his email address in case of problems.

Real customer service eventually !

Only took 4 and a half hours
