I renewed our broadband recently via chat because the BT site had had technical issues for several days and couldnt display my online renewal offers.
I knew I wanted a package that was 300-500 mb/s and reliable (I mentioned Halo 3).
The operator offered 900 mb/s for £40.99 instead, he said, of the usual something like £85/month. I asked him about having a strong signal throughout the house and he said not to worry about that - with 900 mb/s there would be no trouble at all with signal strength throughout the house.
I'm thinking I've been missold and not got what I asked for or what I need. Anyone experienced anything similar or can advise? Will 900 mb/s really do as good a job at maintaining signal strength through the house as Halo 3? I work from home, this is important. I don't need really, really fast broadband (and anyway, I'm only getting 350 mb/s!)
