DIGITAL VOICE

Go to solution

Hi all, I'm a newbie, i have plugged my old wireless phone into the green socket on the back of the new router. I'm getting a ringtone so no problem there. If i use this phone to make phone calls, will i be charged the same as digital voice, e.g. 22.5ppm.? Any help will be very much appreciated.

Thanks peeps.

Your phone service is Digital Voice, how you access it is entirely irrelevant

Hi @hugh65   The delivery is different but the costs are the same.

Presumably you mean dialtone rather than ringtone when you connect a phone into the router, for there to be dialtone at the router means you are on DV, …if you are on the PAYG call plan ,( or were  on that plan before changing to DV ) then the price per minute is as published, ( and it’s the same, DV or PSTN ) using your own phone instrument rather than a BT supplied ‘digital’ phone doesn’t affect the tariff, if you were on a different calls plan (500/700 mins or unlimited) then that should still be your call plan , unless you opted to change.
