I have two phone lines in my house both residential. One is my published home number and the other is in my study.
It is the study number I have my broadband attached to.
I have received notification that my home number is to be switched to Digital Voice. They state they will send out a home hub 2 for this.
Is this correct and that Digital Voice will be connected without a supposed broadband connection?
I have been advised to wait (which I am happy to do ) till both numbers are ported to Digital voice then merge the numbers and do away with one of the lines.
Many Thanks
John
Digital Voice can ONLY be provided by using a Home Hub2 and will require some form of broadband to operate. I suspect it is probably an error and it is the broadband line that will be moved over to DV.
At some point in the future, broadband lite ( low speed ) will be necessary to supply DV services to telephone only customers.
