Digital voice

Go to solution

Newbie here. My network doesn't reach round my home so I have just added the range extension discs.  Bt digital voice is set up with  the original hub. I now want to add a phone but this phone will be out of range of the original hub but will be within range of the extender discs, not sure how to set up, do I still link it to the original hub and then move it or do I do something with the nearest extender disc ?

DV uses DECT, not WiFi. So the only option using DV handsets is to move the SH2.

You could try a regular DECT phone plugged into the back of the SH2 & see if the range on that is any better & return it if not.

Only other possible option, if you have an existing phone extension where you want to place a phone, is to disconnect the incoming redundant copper pair from the master socket & patch the master socket or an extension into the back of the SH2.
