How can I get my BT Relate 350 phone to work on digital voice. When plugged in to either the router or home phone adapter it just terminates and incoming call. Outgoing seems to function.
@MrI4n welcome to the community, I've seen reports that using a microfilter has helped when using older phones with digital voice.
Thanks
Neil
Is this a new installation of DV? Plenty of similar reports of incoming calls failing.
New install. four phones in use two work on both BB hub and the Adapter.
Ref | Instrument | Router | Phone adapter |
1 | Audioline3 | Incoming and outgoing working | Outgoing working |
2 | BT Relate 350 Caller Display | Outgoing working | Outgoing working |
3 | Philips DECT 225 | All stations working | n/a |
4 | Currys Essentials corded phone | Incoming and outgoing working | Incoming and outgoing working |
It would not appear to be an issue with the ringing, as I assume the phone rings, but drops out when you pick the receiver up?
Some helpful info https://bt-digital-voice.blogspot.com/p/bt-smart-hub-2.html
I did try that without any improvement :o(
The relate 350 terminates call instantly without any sound or delay.
It could be that the ringer in the phone is faulty and presenting a short circuit. This would overload the ringer in both devices, and probably cause the supply voltage to drop, and terminate the call.
As it does it on the hub and the adapter, then I would suspect the phone itself.
You could try a microfilter, as it would add an additional capacitor in the ring circuit, and may prevent any overload.
