BT Smart Hub 2

I have a BT smart Hub 2.

I have 3 Sky Q boxes all hard wired to  this router.

I also have 4 BT Wholehome Black wi-fi discs.

However when someone is watching Amazon Prime Video or Netflix on one of the Sky Q boxes on a TV  AND I am watching anything on my iPad at the same time, the BT Smart Hub 2 keeps disconnecting.

I have received a new BT Smarthub 2 from BT and set this up successfully  including reconnecting all 4 wi-fi black wholehome discs.

But still hub keeps disconnecting when someone is watching Netflix/Amazon Prime Video  on a TV and I am  also trying to watch any TV app on my iPad at the same time.

Does anyone have any ideas what to do?

Sky Q uses channel 36 on the 5GHz band to connect to the mini boxes so if the SH2 is also using channel 36 that might be the issue, so changing the SH2 from channel 36 would be the solution.

Re: BT Smart Hub 2

When I Log into BT Hub Manager 2.4GHz is using Channel 11 and 5GHz is using Channel 36!

Re: BT Smart Hub 2

Change the 5ghz channel to either 44 or 48 and save. SKY Q uses channel 36

Re: BT Smart Hub 2

Thanks so much for helping me.

When you say  SKY Q uses channel 36 do you mean 2.4GHz?

Should I change 2.4GHz to Channel 36?

And 5 GHz to either channel 44 or 48?

I am attaching a picture for settings at the moment

Re: BT Smart Hub 2

The 5GHz.  (2.4GHz is channels 1 - 13, of which only 1, 6 and 11 are really usable.  5GHz uses channels 36 to 100 odd, of which only 36, 40, 44 and 48 are really usable).

Re: BT Smart Hub 2

Leave the 2.4 alone and just do what imjolly suggested to the 5GHz settings.
