The home hubs used by BT are nice little devices and with a bit more access advanced users would have less issue with advanced configurations sometimes required.
I say advanced but in fact the required management features are available and simple in them selves but for some reason BT thinks there to advanced for its customers so denies access to them. "without going the extra mile that is"
Idea #1 - Enable Managment access to LAN side for all devices you provide.
Idea #2 - When requested to allow customers access please do so.
