As faults develop on phone lines, especially broadband where the speed of the link slows down.


Why doesn't the BT software alert both the customer and the BT Engineers that there is a fault on the line so it can be speedily, (Although for BT I would say slowly and inefficiently) fixed before the customer has to ring in and complain?

There is technology that flags issues on the network and these issues will be picked up and acted upon. There may be times where other factors contribute to faults that we cannot anticipate unfortunately. I have to mark this as unsuitable as this can not be implemented on the forum, but thanks for your comments. Kerry
