With the recent announcement that BT will be working more closely with SKY from 2019 to bring NOW TV Entertainment channels to their customers, isn't it about time BT moved forward and gave their customers the option of BT TV on Freesat boxes as an alternative to the terrestrial Youview box?
For those of us that live in a very poor reception area (and with no possibility of improvement in the service!), satellite transmission is the only reliable means of viewing the available freeview channels.
As BT subscription channels are streamed, surely a Freesat box being made available is something that BT should now be offering? Obviously the equipment would cost more than the terrestrial box, a look at the Humax site makes that obvious, but for some of us it is most probably an option we would be willing to pay that bit extra for.
BT appear to be missing out on, or ignoring, this simple addition to the BT TV service, something which will no doubt cost them customers. It doesn't take long before your customers get fed up with switching back to a freesat box just to watch ITV, BBC, etc and ignoring/cancelling BT TV....
