The speed to the hub consistently measures at 70mb on the BT app but the speed to devices measures below 10mb there is no correlation between peak times and the speed , I understand that some speed will be lost between the hub and devices but but 90% is too much. The highest speed I have ever measured is 25mb with a wired connection from the hub. What can be done to fix this and improve speeds
Hi Alistairjcooke1, Thanks for posting, I'm sorry to see you're having issues with your broadband speed. Can you post your Home Hub router stats and we'll take a look? You'll get them by entering 192.168.1.254 in your browser, if you have a home hub 5 please go to troubleshooting then helpdesk and if its a Smart Hub go to advanced settings then technical log information.
I'd also recommend you do a quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 it should be silent.

Hi @Alistairjcooke1, thanks for doing that. The router stats show your line speed is currently 76.3Mb so there doesn't appear to be a problem with the line or network. I'd recommend you try the checks on this link to improve your wifi signal. It may also be worth trying to manually adjust the wireless channel by following the below steps.
In addition to selecting different network channels I would split the 2.4/5ghz band as many devices do not line networks combined
I have tried every combination of channels and 2GHz and 5GHz and have seen no difference in speed on my devices
Is the 7mb download speed when you are downloading a file from likes of steam or bit torrent
run btspeedtester and post results. Must be done with Ethernet connection
https://speedtest.btwholesale.com/
I ran the test and got 9.18 download and 9.32 uploads which is still no where near the speeds we should be getting
Can you post the results please if using Ethernet connection
do you find problem is only at peak times?
