My new mobile phone is 5G enabled but my BT SIM card is 8 years old and I’m on a 4G plan
How can I change to a 5G plan and will I need a new SIM card?

Re: 4G to 5G
You'll need to call BT Mobile and request a 5G SIM and account.

Re: 4G to 5G
My understanding is that 5G is the network platform and the sim should not matter.
I have what could be called a 4G sim and when I enter a 5G area it works just fine.

In case it helps anybody else, I can confirm that because my existing SIM is 8 years old, I did need a new SIM card. Thanks to everybody for their help.
