Re: Broadband renewing

Anyone can pay the bill. It does not need to be the account holder.

Re: Broadband renewing

Are you really paying £275 per 3 months (£91.67/month) for your Mother's broadband and phone service?

If so, you urgently need to either negotiate a better deal with BT, or move broadband provider. New customers of ISPs are typically offered deals at around £30/month with another £3/month for a phone service. You might not get this with BT as an existing customer but you should be able to get something like £40-45/month, albeit on a 2 yr contract.

Re: Broadband renewing

@chrisjp  It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if the OP (or whomever it is that actually has the service) is paying an absurd amount of money every month. I think we've all gleaned enough from reading this forum, that there are plenty of people out there that are paying far more than they need to, but, it's for the most part through choice, or in some cases, too much money to care, or it's just too much hassle. Great for BT's profits though.

Re: Broadband renewing

Thanks for the replies as said that’s why I’m renewing to get it down ever halo2 complete for 49 halo 3 for51 or halo3 + for 52 then there’s the phone line which pay as u go £3 or unlimited calls for 12 so it would still be 64 or 55 a month but the other thing that no one’s answered is is the unlimited calls actually unlimited calls as the previous we had said unlimited weekend calls but u read small print its actually all call landlines and mobs will cost the same so that three months was internet and landline rental only (if we had calls even higher) oh and the 3£ for paper bill( as she wants paper lol ) it’s the reason why I was renewing it for cheaper but I was mainly asking if theee was a way to still pay 3 monthly or not direct debit as I pay with PayPal (get cash bask lol) and also as it would be out of my dank and as I wasn’t sure if a direct debit payment from me as  I’m not the account holder as said it me mom would make an issue oh I will also mention a mate is on halo 3 same price as me 87ish a month he went to try and renew he was offer a deal of 2£ less a month 🙀

thanks again

Re: Broadband renewing

If you are out of contract you should contact BT Retentions Team  0800 783 1401 and see what they can offer you for a Broadband and landline phone package.

Make sure that you tell them you do not want any Halo product. Halo is an over priced add on that most people do not need and most of what it offers is already part of any broadband package you take out.

Before you acll them have a look what other Broadband providers are offering making sure that you are comparing like for like.

If BT can not offer you a package that you are happy with be prepared to move to a provider who will and make sure that the Retentions Dept know this.
