Hi @martinclayden ,
Sorry for the delay getting back. I can't make any guarantees as it's not my area of expertise so probably best to leave as is. I'll get it raised with our cloud guys today who will look into it for you.
Cheers
David
@martinclayden Sorry for the delay--- i didn't get an email saying you'd posted.
All my PC's are running the Pro version---both 10 and 11.
So, maybe there's an issue with Windows 11 Home. Between us we have a few working Windows 10&11 machines, but only one failing Windows 11 Home. Not definitive, just an observation
My laptop (with broken BT Cloud):
Edition Windows 11 Home
Version 22H2
Installed on 01/03/2023
OS build 22621.2428
So perhaps the issue is that BTCloud 22.12.33 does not work with Windows 11 Home
Perhaps others who read this could report their observations
My laptop is running Windows 10 Pro and BT Cloud 22.12.33 is not working. I have uninstalled it , rebooted and reinstalled it 3 times and still doesn't work. Noticed on Pop up screen from task bar shows cloud at top left in red until I click exit BT Cloud when it goes green just before closing.
Any chance of a link to the previous version so we can revert and see if that still works and maybe when it updates again it will still work as it did for first poster. Link posted previously for MCB is now giving latest version.
Hi @Ian113,
Thanks for trying to troubleshoot it to see if you can get it working.
It would be best if our Cloud team spoke with you about this to try and get it working. I'll send you a private message that you can reply back to my team on.
Thanks,
DanielS
I have a Lenovo laptop running Windows 10 and have been running BT Cloud 22-12-11 no problem since it was introduced ( previous versions were always problematic ). I have a clean copy of 22-12-11 which will run for enough time to backup a couple of files then 22-12-33 auto-updates it and immediately fails. Please BT could you give us the option to disable auto-update. I'm happy to stick with 22-12-11.
As with others from the moment it upgraded to this new version, it has been extremely unstable. I have now uninstalled and reinstalled twice and despite two clear days of no issues 'the unexpected error' has recurred tonight. The previous version created zero problems so this is a pain. My machine details:
Edition Windows 11 Home
Version 22H2
Installed on 22/09/2022
OS Build 22621.2506
The App is worse than useless if it has to be uninstalled and reinstalled regularly, so a fix is urgently required I would suggest.
Neil
So, I bit the bullet and removed and reinstalled 22.12.33.
But I've had to recreate the folder set - I SHOULD NOT have to resort to these lengths.
It's working, but for how long?
It continues to look like an incompatibility between this version and Windows 11 Home
A new, stable version is overdue, plus the option to not auto update
