Re: IPv6 on TP-Link Archer AX95 with BT Full Fibre

Go to solution

It ought to be as simple as changing "Get IPv6 Address" to auto and leaving everything else as is!

*Using Ifconfig ppp0 is used by both IPv4 and IPv6

Yeah, just had a look at the online emulator. Try setting IPv6 to Dynamic IP rather than PPPoE

Just to confirm here, should I be using DHCPv6 on the LAN side?

Well it says succeeded but Router doesn't have an IPv6 address, I dunno if I should whack DHCPv6 back on the LAN side so devices get their IPv6 addresses againk I was reading BT assigns them to devices directly? dunno if that's correct but made me assume to leave it on SLAAC + Stateless DHCP.

You could try looking at the network connection details of the device you are using - if the router says it's working then you may see an IPv6 local gateway address for it in there (see one of the earlier posts).

As for the local allocation, BT assigning the local IPv6 addresses for all individual devices would be "pass-thru", certainly on the Asus it seems there is local DHCPv6 with addresses being stateless (as mine is set up) or stateful where they are assigned within a tight block!
