No more unwanted callers hiding behind withheld numbers!

No more unwanted callers hiding behind withheld numbers!

When someone withholds their number, instead of just putting the call through with total anonymity,

why not send us a specific withheld number code which means absolutely nothing to us and still shows as a withheld number thus maintaining the callers right of anonymity whilst also maintaining OUR right to block that particular withheld number code (WNCer) from calling us again?

The only people that wouldn't be happy with such a simple fix are the WNCers we need to block.

BTs Choose To Refuse allows you to do that, as it knows the number and will allow you to block it.

Is the reverse possible? I.e block all except allowed numbers.

No, you would have to use your own call blocker to do that.

About as much use as an ash tray on a motorbike then!

You can refuse all withheld numbers but then if a friend prefers to stay always on 'Private' (which many do) then doing so would block them too.

The majority of us are effected to some degree by unwanted withheld number calls.

It's high time a simple fix was applied to bury that particular bone once and for all.
