Have you spoken with anyone over the phone about this? They should be raising a ticket to our Xbox Game Pass Ultimate team who in turn will contact you back.
When did your subscription stop with us?

no i don't know who to contact, I ended the subscription a month after the year finished and have bought a code on another site to continue my xbox ultimate but I can't use the code due to it saying it's still active even though it is not on the bt account/billing and I have no membership
subscription stopped in April, have contacted bt by chat and phone and they all have no idea how to fix this issue
@MrsDopey I'm so sorry about that, we're raising these issues with a specialist team who work with Microsoft to resolve but they are taking quite a while to fix.
